Plitvice Lakes

Don’t miss one of Croatia’s biggest attractions, the unforgettable National park Plitvice Lakes. Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this stunning location has over 16 interconnected lakes with waterfalls, surrounded by the beautiful nature,and it is only 1- hour drive from the house.

Nature park Velebit

Take a hike in the Velebit Nature Park, declared Biosphere Reserve and the largest protected area in Croatia. This mountain is also a UNESCO site, and is considered to be an important part of Croatian culture. Unique limestone landscape offers spectacular views from 1,000 m.

Nikola Tesla memorial center

This is the museum dedicated to the world famous inventor and physicist Nikola Tesla, who was born in the nearby village of Smiljan. You can now visit his birth house, turned into a memorial center, and learn more about the life of great genius and his world-altering inventions.

Cave park Grabovača

This impressive cave park is known for the valuable cave stone and crystal formations, and a large variety of protected species. It has 8 different caves, including the famous Samograd. On the slopes you can also enjoy freshwater springs, or swim in the river Lika on the western edge.

Cove Zavratnica

The unique Zavratnica cove, one of the most beautiful on the Adriatic coast, is located near Jablanac, in front of the Rab island.  It is home to more than a hundred plant species, both indigenous and allochthonous. You can enjoy the stunning view to the bay from an upper trail with a lookout.
